Cupertino Over Milpitas 7-2

The Cupertino Pioneers scored 7 runs on 11 hits to defeat the Milpitas Trojans 7-2 Wednesday afternoon at Millpitas in the first of two scheduled meetings between the two teams in 2016.

The offense was led by Josh Longabaugh with a double and two singles and Dean Rodrigues with three singles. David Kau and George Ellegood each had a double, and Anthony Pozzetti, Zach Crawford and Connor Shiomoto each had a single.

Ben Champion started and picked up the win for the Pioneers. Ben Townsend picked up the save.

With the win, Cupertino’s record improves to 2-7, 6-9.
