Cupertino Advances to Tamone Final With Second Round Win

The Cupertino Pioneers defeated the Santa Clara Bruins by a score of 5-1 in second round play at the Ted Tamone Tournament on Wednesday, February 24 at Washington Park in Santa Clara.

Sophomore Ben Townsend started and picked up the win, and had a pair of doubles and RBIs at the plate. David Kau had a pair of singles.

With the win, Cupertino advances to the final on Saturday, February 27 against the winner of Live Oak and Wilcox. Cupertino’s record improves to 2-0.
