Cupertino defeated Femont 5-1 in an SCVAL El Camino Division game Thursday afternoon at Fremont.

Morgan Saenz had the big hit of the afternoon for the Pioneers, driving in 2 with a double in the top of the Fifth. Alan Vigent had a pair of singles, and Ben Townsend and Michael Yamaguchi had a single apiece.

Josh Longabaugh started and went five for Cupertino to earn the win. Ben Townsend had the save.

With the win, Cupertino improves to 9-5, 4-2.
