Varsity Wins 8-1 at Lynbrook

Michael Hyun gave up 1 run on 3 hits over 6, actually having carried a shutout through 5 2/3, and picked up the win as Cupertino High School defeated Lynbrook 8-1 in a SCVAL El Camino Division game on Thursday afternoon at Lynbrook. The win was Hyun’s second of the season.

Tony Uribe had 3 singles and 2 RBIs, Adam Apolinar had 2 RBIs, Alan Vigent had a triple, single and an RBI, and Matt Kuhl had two singles, a double and an RBI, Morgan Saenz, Stan Sumibcay and Josh Longabaugh all had singles. Longabaugh’s single was his first at the varsity level.
