Milpitas High School defeated Cupertino High School 3-0 on Thursday at Milpitas in a SCVAL El Camino Division game. Grady Li and Cameron Longabaugh had a single and stolen base apiece, and Austin Johnson and Tony Uribe each had singles.

This was the third meeting between the two teams this year, with Milpitas edging out Cupertino 2 games to 1.

Milpitas, in a tight race for second place in the division, kept its hopes alive with the win, moving into third place, a game behind Fremont, who defeated divisional leader Gunn 5-4 on Thursday.
