A great game at Homestead on Friday as Cupertino takes the lead, falls behind, then comes back in the top of the 7th to win 6-4.

Cupertino went ahead in the fourth as Connor Shiomoto singled, and was then driven in by a Josh Longabaugh double.  Cupertino added tow more in the top of the fifth to take a 3-0 lead until in the bottom of the inning Homestead loaded the bases on three straight singles, and then cleared them with a three RBI triple to tie the game.  In the bottom of the sixth, the Mustangs added another to take a 4-2 lead.  In the top of the seventh, Tim Dinh and Anthony Pozzetti singled, and were driven in by a Connor Shiomoto double to give Cupertino a 5-4 lead. Ben Townsend singled Connor home and.  Cupertino took a 6-4 lead to the bottom of the seventh, where Ben Champion, in the unaccustomed role of closer, gave up a single to start the inning. Very quickly the Pioneers rolled a 4-6-3 double play, and then Ben fielded a comebacker, then threw the runner out at first.

Liam Ramairez gets the win, Ben Champion the save.

Connor Shiomoto was tops offensively with a double and a single.
