An exciting season awaits as the Cupertino Pioneers head back to the De Anza for the first time since 2011.  In 2016 the league play will include pairs of games with the Homestead Mustangs, Los Altos Eagles, Los Gatos Wildcats, Milpitas Trojans, Palo Alto Vikings, Saratoga Falcons and Wilcox Chargers.

The Varsity Schedule features 17 home games, 7 of which are Saturday games along with Frosh/Soph, 7 road games, and 3 games in the season opening Ted Tamone Tournament at Washington Park. Following the completion of the regular season at the end of April, the two round league playoffs are held in the first two weeks in May, consisting of four to six games. For more about the season's structure and the playoffs, see the article Intro to the De Anza: What’s New and What’s Different.

The Frosh/Soph Schedule consists of 17 home, 7 of which are Saturday games along with the Varsity, and 10 road games. The final two games will be played at the same time as the 1st round of the league playoffs, against the Frosh/Soph team of the Varsity's opponent. These two games count as regular season games for the Frosh/Soph.

With the regular season coming to an end two weeks earlier than last year due to the league playoffs, Senior Day will be held earlier this season, on Saturday, April 30, accompanying a pair of games with King's Academy.
