Visiting from Honolulu, the Kalani High School Falcons baseball team found Cupertino was a great place to visit, getting the first win of their West Coast road trip as they defeated the Cupertino High School Pioneers 9-1 in a non-league varsity game on Wednesday afternoon.

Offensively, the Pioneers managed just three singles on the day, one each by Josh Longabaugh, Ben Champion and Ishan Ayyalasomayajula. Cupertino’s sole run came on a fielder's choice in the first by Longabaugh.

With the win Kalani improves to 5-9-1, 2-2 while Cupertino falls to 2-7, 1-2.
