A trio from the Class of 2016 swept all four 2014 Cupertino High School Pioneers Baseball Team Awards. Varsity Sophomore Josh Longabaugh was selected both 2014 Varsity MVP and 2014 Offensive Player of the Year. Longabaugh had a team high 32 hits and .381 average in a season highlighted by a pair of walk off hits and a 15 game hitting streak. Sophomore Ben Champion was selected 2014 Varsity Pitcher of the Year. Champion recorded 4 wins on his way to a 4-1 record, and had at least that many no-decisions in which he pitched well enough to have deserved wins. |
