Varsity and Frosh/Soph Both Win

The Varsity came from behind to defeat Harbor 3-1 Saturday afternoon at Cupertino. Kyle Avvkumovitis picked up the win in relief, his first of the year. Youseph Pavolic had two hits and two RBIs and was named Player of the Game.  Tony Uribe wowed with a spectacular diving catch in right.

The Frosh/Soph took advantage of early opportunities scoring five times in the first and going on to win 10-4 under clear and sunny skies at Harbor High School in Santa Cruz on Saturday afternoon. Josh Longabaugh started off the scoring with a 2 RBI double in the first inning and went 3 for 5 on the day.  Starter Riley Waite pitched three solid innings of shutout ball, followed by two strong innings each from Jason Silveira and Jarrod Kopczynski.  The win was the team’s second of the year.
